Course Description
Selected concepts and theories pertinent to the practice of professional nursing are developed. Historical, legal, cultural, economic, and social factors that influence nursing and health care delivery are analyzed. Various philosophical perspectives on professional nursing practice are considered. Nursing theories are addressed as frameworks for practice. Strategies are discussed for analyzing and managing ethical dilemmas in nursing and health care.
