Admission to UW-Green Bay Professional Program in Nursing
Applicants will be admitted to the RN to BSN Professional Program in Nursing if the following criteria are met:
- Applicants are graduates from an Associate Degree or Diploma Program in Nursing as verified on an official transcript. (Also see our Partners Page for Associate Degree Programs having partnerships with BSN-LINC.)
- Applicants have grade point averages of at least 2.5 (or equivalent) on post-secondary transferable coursework. Upon recommendations of nursing faculty, exceptions can be made.
- Applicants must have a current non-encumbered RN license from any state.
- Consultation with a Nursing Advisor is highly recommended.
Early application is recommended since all materials (including transcripts) need to be received before acceptance, and course sections may fill to capacity. Applicants wishing to begin classes during fall semester are encouraged to apply by August 1; spring semester by December 1; and summer session by April 15. Applicants who submit after these dates are more likely to have difficulty finding open sections of classes. It is also important to apply early for financial aid, as it may take several weeks to process the application and confirm awarded funds.
